This wonderful Concert Guitar was handmade by Eich Kodaira in 1974 in Japan.
Eichi Kodaira was a long time associate of Masaru Matano, another renowned Japanese luthier. Together they will go on to establish the Asturias guitars brand.
This guitar is in amazing condition despite some clouding of the clear coat as seen in the photos.
This guitar was top of the range in Kodaira's range. The original price was 50,000 yen. It was a very expensive guitar considering the average annual income was 70,000 yen.
This guitar is very loud, it has a very warm sound yet sweet and resonant, with lots of overtones. With a great amount of sustain, this guitar sings at the slightest touch.
