Shinano No.63 Classical Guitar (1974) Hand-made in Japan
This lovely guitar has a wonderful warm sound, full and rich in overtones, with thick solid bass as sparkling trebles.
Originally this guitar was the highest intermediate model in the Shinano range, but It is now a high-end guitar after I have enhanced the bracing and tune the top to G.
I have also upgraded the tuning machines to a high-quality set. It is now smoother to tune the guitar and it will last for another 50 years.
The sound is more resonant and louder. The bases and trebles are well balanced. The harmonics ring through.
The guitar has some signs of normal wear due to its age, but overall it's in amazing condition. Please check out the photos.
The bridge has a 12 hole tieing system which is more secure and prevents the strings from slipping and causing damage to the top.
The saddle is very low. There's about 1mm left, but after nearly 50 years the guitar is not likely to need any further adjustments.
No.63 was produced from the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s. This guitar benefits from all the upgrades which have gone into making this model, it has higher-grade wood and component. You can check my other listings to see the difference between this guitar and other No.63 in my collection.
The guitar has some signs of normal wear. Please check the photos for general conditions.

Seizo Shinano was a very skilled Master Luthier and founded Shinano Guitar Factory in the mid1960s. He has earned my deepest respect for his guitars. The (GS) Grand Shinano and SC series were very high-grade guitars. Models made by this factory in the 1960s were introductory (models 13 to 43) intermediate (53 to 63) and high end (73 through 93). Models like Shinano 73 (all solid woods Spruce. Indian Rosewood), Shinano 83 (solid Spruce top, solid Brazilian Rosewood Back) and Shinano 93 (all solid woods with Spruce/BR) are greatly respected by Japanese players and considered as concert guitars. By the late1960s/the early 1970s the labelling system of Shinano guitars changed to SC and GS models.
