This fantastic guitar was made by one of the best luthiers in Japan.
This guitar has a beautiful tone. It's loud, thanks to the high-grade solid spruce top.
The basses are deep, and the trebles sing out like crystal champagne glasses. This helps cut through the mix.
This guitar is perfect for situations when you play in front of a large audience or within an ensemble, thanks to its excellent projection.
I have enhanced the solid top by tuning it to note A, so the guitar resonates to the music being played. I have also modified the bracing to give it more projection and frequency response.
Please feel free to request a sound demo of this beautiful guitar.
Luthier's background
Eich Kodaira started making guitars in the 1960s. Kodaira and Hiroumi Yamaguchi and Masaru Matano (all master luthiers), set up the Asturias guitar label.
Asturias guitars have always been regarded as very high-grade concert guitars.
Kodaira continued to make guitars under his name while working for Asturias. Kodaira guitars and Asturias guitars were virtually identical; even the labels were the same. The labels read: Kodaira Asturias.
The Kodaira workshop is still operational today with only three builders: Kodaira's son and two other family members.
