I have done a fair bit of work on this guitar to make it sound fantastic.
I’ve shaved and scallop the breaching to make more resonant and loud.
It increased the bass response and brought out the trebles.
I have done an A-B comparison of this guitar with the current Yamaha CG-192 model, this one definitely sounds way better.
The action is about 3.5mm on the 6th string and 3.0mm on the 1st string at 12th fret using medium string tension.
The clear coat has some cloudy patches due to its age. This has no effect on the sound, it’s just aesthetics. Please check the photos.
