This beautiful classical guitar was made in Japan in 1973 from high-grade tonewood.  It was made for the local market and it is of a much higher grade compared to the cheap Taiwanese export models.

The top is solid spruce with fine straight grains which produce a well-balanced sound with long sustain.

The back and sides are made from sonokeling tonewood which is a dark and beautiful type of rosewood grown on Java island. This type of wood is also very hard and helps with sound sustain.

The neck is selected mahogany, it is slightly thicker compared to other models. This also ensures that the neck will stay straight and retain the tuning.

The fretboard is dark Indian rosewood.

The headstock has the double line inlay which is typical of the Grand Concert series (not found on the cheap export models)

The tuning machines are original from the late 1960's era.

This guitar has a beautiful tone.

I have enhanced the bracing to bring out the guitar's full potentials. It has deep and tight basses, the trebles ring out like a bell, and the mids are silky smooth.

I have also tuned the top of the guitar to A making it more musical and resonant.

It sounds much better than modern $3000 guitars.

The scale length is 65.8cm

The nut width is 52mm

The action is 3.0mm on the first string and 3.5mm on the second string st the 12th fret.

Please feel free to ask for any additional information or to request a sound demo for this guitar.

Thanks.
