Yamaha GC-5M 1977 Classical Guitar - Made by Hiroshi Harada in Japan in 1977
This guitar was made by Hiroshi Harada in 1977.
Hiroshi Harada was one of the top luthiers in Japan.
It's all solid wood!!!
It is very rare to find All-Solid wood nowadays, 99% of guitars have laminated back and sides.
This guitar is in wonderful condition as you can see from the photos. There are some tiny signs of time being 44 years old.
As with all my guitars, I have enhanced the bracing to add more resonance and make it more lyrical. The basses are solid, and the trebles are warm yet clear like a bell.
I have tuned the top to the note of A.
This guitar is comparable to the current high-end Yamaha grand concert series, I would classify it as being somewhere between GC-42S and GC-82S.
I haven't had the time to make a sound demo for it yet. Its sound is similar (slightly more pronounced) to the one in the video below.
