This 1970s flamenco guitar from Japan is a picturesque instrument; sadly, the label has been lost and its origin is unknown.

Nonetheless, its spruce top with a fine grain creates a loud and powerful sound, while its spalted maple sides and back give it a remarkable 3D effect in the light.

With a 50mm nut width and a 65cm scale length, the 2.75mm action on the first string at the 12th fret makes this guitar comfortable to play fast, and its 4.0mm action on the 6th string provides excellent dynamics without buzzing.

Even after half a century, this guitar remains in an excellent state, with only a few signs of wear. It has been revarnished by a previous luthier. I left the clear polish in it's original state to maintain its charm and patina.
