Handcrafted in Kani, Gifu, Japan
This vintage Kazuo Yairi YC-30 classical guitar was handcrafted in June 1988, as indicated by the stamped neck serial number 6210 256. The inner label carries the workshop number 25706, and it proudly bears the maker's signature under the “World Wide Best Brand” crest - a mark of authenticity and masterful Japanese craftsmanship.
The YC-30 was one of Yairi’s beautifully balanced entry models, known for its playability and pure tonal character. It features a solid spruce top, rosewood back and sides, and a rich, open voice that has matured beautifully over time.
Like many of the guitars in my personal collection, I’ve put my own touch on this one - I’ve tuned and voiced the top to the note of A, bringing out a deeper resonance and enhanced clarity across the registers. The result is a guitar that sings effortlessly, with sweet overtones and a harmonically rich response that inspires long sessions of quiet practice or intimate performance.
