This wonderful guitar was one of the earliest grad concert guitars Matsuoka made.
The label is handwritten by Matsuoka himself. This was before he got them printed in bulk.
This is one of the oldest Matsuoka guitars in my collection.
It has beautiful basses with crystal clear trebles thanks to the high quality used to make this instrument. The wood has also had plenty of time to mature and to open up giving us an exquisite tone.
The people who come to my place to try out the guitars always rank it in the top 5 together with the Matsuoka No.100. Unfortunately for those people, neither guitar was for sale until now.
Please check out the sound demo video to get an idea of its sound.
This guitar not only is a wonderful instrument, but also a piece of music history.
It is the only Matsuoka No.1 I have ever come across. It's a collector's piece and worth much more than its asking price.
I can guarantee that if you get to be the owner of this guitar, none of your friends would have one of the same model!!!
