Takamine No.5 Vintage Classical Guitar made in Japan in 2000

This is one of the best Takamine No. 5 in stock. It's in pristine condition.

This is a beautiful guitar with an amazing sound.

It's very loud, has plenty of projection yet clear sound.

It is a delight to play.

A true concert guitar.

This is one of the best sounding models in the Takamine line up. It has a higher tonewood grade than current models and it sounds much better.

I have enhanced this guitar and spend a great amount of time tuning the braces to make the guitar more resonant. I have also balanced to sound and gave it deeper and clear basses, and smooth clear trebles.

I have also tuned the solid cedar top to the note of G.

I am pleased and proud to say this guitar sound magical and can rival guitar in the $8,000 - $10,000 range.

The Takamine No.30 and No.5 are the most popular ones in the lineup.

I have customers coming from interstate, some even bring their own guitars to compare.

They all walk out with one of my guitars :)

Specifications:

Top: Solid Cedar

Back & sides: Indian Rosewood Double-plate

“Laminated” is not a suitable word for Japanese made guitars. These "laminates" were made from 2 layers of solid wood glued together with natural resins. The Japanese perfected this technique so well these double-plates were as good as solid woods and far more resistant to cracking.

Fingerboard: Rosewood

Neck: Mahogany

Scale 653 mm

Width at Nut: 51mm

Its action is set to 3.5 mm under E6 and 3.00 mm under E1 with very little extra room on the saddle

Shipping is about $60 Australia wide. For international buyers please contact me for shipping costs.

Please check out the video.  The guitar in the video is also  Takamne NO.5. The only difference is that this guitar has the original tuning machines and rosewood fingerboard.  Everything else is the same.

Thank you.
